FASTHockey’s Subscription Model Scores a Win with Fans

One such company is FASTHockey, an over-the-top (OTT) provider of live webcasts and archives on-demand of hockey games—over 20,000 each year. A year-and-a-half ago, FASTHockey decided to transition from a Pay-Per-View revenue model to one based entirely on subscriptions.

Since switching to Recurly, they have seen a significant increase in both numbers of viewers per game and revenue, along with a significant decrease in customer care requests. According to Ruskin, “Recurly allows us to offer tens of thousands of live games to our viewers around the world who can’t get the content anywhere else.”
